A personal project, years in the planning and collecting, is coming to an exciting completion. I’m looking to whisky-minded folks from around the globe – readers of my various whisky posts – for suggestions on items I might include as authentic details to finish off the project.
Overall style of the room is modern, mixed with antiques. Colors accenting the golden oak crown molding, wainscoting chair rail and baseboard are beiges and dark green. The ceiling is green. Furniture, accent pieces and area rugs suggest styles of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis Comfort Tiffany and Gustav Stickley. Bottle and glassware storage is in a retro-fitted ice box from the 1920s. Principal wall décor includes an 1872 Yonge Pub Clock with original fusee movement, an Edwin Landseer lithograph, and several of the antique whisky-making tools described in a recent blog post on my website.

Readers: what unique, quirky, distinctive or just plain drop-dead cool items do you remember from your visits to pubs, private clubs, distilleries, or bars that might fit within my project? Thank you for any and all suggestions you might offer.
